Eftec, in association with enetjärn, ECNC, CEEweb and the University of Antwerp, is carrying out a study for the European Commission’s DG Environment called “Technical support in relation to the promotion of restoration in the context of the EU biodiversity strategy to 2020”.

The EU biodiversity strategy to 2020 foresees (Target 2) that restoration of 15% of degraded ecosystems will play a significant role in the achievement of the headline target of stopping biodiversity loss. In order to provide the assistance to Member States in achieving their restoration targets, this study aims to give the Commission a better understanding of what is happening in relation to restoration activities in different member states, sectors, and habitats across the EU.

If you are an expert either directly involved in restoration actions; or being in possession of information about restoration actions across a certain industry, sector, region, country or wider level, please share your knowledge. The deadline for completing the questionnaire is 15 April 2016.
