First call for Interreg Europe proposals now open

The first call for Interreg Europe proposals is now open and will close again on 31 July. Interreg Europe co-finances projects and thematic platforms that provide regional and local public authorities and other key regional stakeholders in Europe with opportunities to exchange ideas and best practice on public policy development and implementation, and to find solutions to improve their strategies.

Interreg Europe projects last for 3-5 years and bring together public organisations from different European regions to work on shared policy issues. Lessons learnt from the cooperation are then implemented via the development of an action plan.

Thematic platforms cover four themes including environment and resource efficiency. Platforms are a tool for organisations working on regional development policies in Europe to share knowledge and find solutions to improve the way policies are managed and implemented.
