After a successful pilot last year, the European Commission’s Natura 2000 Award has now opened applications for a 2015 edition. The Award is open to local and national authorities, businesses, site managers, land owners, NGOs, educational institutions and individuals from EU Member States that work with Natura 2000 areas. The Award is intended to reward excellence in management and promotion of the network.

The deadline for applications is 21 January 2015 and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in Brussels on Natura 2000 Day, 21 May 2015.
