The 23 finalists of the Natura 2000 Award have been selected from amongst the 90 applications received. You can view the finalists on the Natura 2000 Award website.

One winner from each of the five categories (Communication, Socio-economic benefits, Conservation, Reconciling interests/perceptions, and Cross-border Cooperation and Networking) will now be selected and the winners announced at an award ceremony in Brussels on Natura 2000 Day (21 May). Online registration for the award ceremony is open until 6 May.

The Award aims to bring the success of the Natura 2000 network to the public’s attention. For this reason, this year’s Natura 2000 Award will also feature a public vote to determine the European Citizens’ Award. All the finalists are eligible for this award and voting is now open.
