From 7 to 10 October Eurosite attended the annual workshop of the Farmer’s Pride Project which was hosted by one of the project partners: Hellenic Agricultural Organisation – DEMETER. On the beautiful Island of Santorini in Greece, the workshop gathered some 60 participants all over Europe, bringing together the project partners, Farmer’s Pride Ambassadors, External Advisory Board, ECPGR participants and other invited experts.

The aim of the workshop was to prepare a roadmap for the establishment of the European Network for the protection of Plant Genetic Resources (PGR) in Europe, during the final year of the project and beyond. The workshop comprised presentations and discussions in the plenary and working groups, tackling the following issues: Network of sites/populations; Network governance, policy and communication; and finally agreeing the roadmap for the steps to follow. The results of the project will be presented at the final conference to be held in Portugal in October 2020.
