Healthy soils are essential in fighting climate change and protecting our precious biodiversity, not in the least because soils are very important ecosystems that deliver valuable ecosystem services. Additionally, they are necessary for achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal. Eurosite co-signed a position paper calling for better protection of Europe’s soils, and we urged for better protection of forest and soils on behalf of our network in the public consultations on the EU Soil Strategy and the EU Forest Strategy.

There are five days left to have your say and contribute to the Soil Strategy consultation. Please find the full position paper here, which you can use as a tool for filling in the consultation’s questionnaire.
