Eurosite member Natuurmonumenten received an extra € 1.9 million from the Dutch Postcode Lottery for their project ‘Nature, accessible to all’. They received this fund in addition to their annual funding of € 13.8 million.

With the project ‘Nature, accessible to all’, Natuurmonumenten and partner organisations want to improve access to nature for people with disabilities. Marc van den Tweel, CEO of Natuurmonumenten: “Nature is for everyone and should therefore be accessible to all, including the more than four million people with disabilities for whom nature is now difficult to access. We are very pleased that we can start with this project. We are very grateful to the Postcode Lottery and its participants.”

In the coming two years, Natuurmonumenten and their partners will work to improve the accessibility of 40 nature areas.
