In November 2020, the Nature and Cities project that focused on enhancing dialogue, know-how transfer and cooperation between civil society organisations of both Turkey and The Netherlands on environmental and sustainable development had its final international conference (online). A recording is now available online that illustrates project outcomes, predominantly on Green Infrastructure and Nature-Based Solutions in Cities. Other project outcomes were a photo exhibition that offered visitors an insight into Turkey’s natural values and nature in cities together with different ecosystems and important plant and animal species, as well as the book “Ecosystem Services as a City Planning Tool: The Case of Çankaya District”.

The project was supported by the programme “Turkey – EU Civil Society Dialogue V” coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate of European Union, conducted by Eurosite member the Turkish Nature Conservation Center (DKM) in  partnership with Eurosite and in cooperation with Çankaya Municipality and  beIN İZ TV.
