Jure has a Master's degree in Biology and Ecology with nature conservation and is working as a Senior Policy Officer at the Slovenian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food. Jure also freelances as a field surveyor to collect data relating to agri-environmental, biological, ecological, environmental, biodiversity, vegetation, and land use statistics.

Jure is an expert regarding the EU Common Agricultural Policy, Environmental Policy, grassland biodiversity, landscape features, and and agri-environment schemes for biodiversity.
